P.O.D. (an initialism for Payable on Death is an American Christian nu metal band formed in 1992 and based in San Diego, California. The band's line-up consists of vocalist Paul Joshua "Sonny" Sandoval, bassist Mark "Traa" Daniels, lead guitarist Marcos Curiel, and drummer Noah "Wuv" Bernardo. They have sold over 12 million records worldwide. Over the course of their career, the band has received three Grammy Award nominations, contributed to numerous motion picture soundtracks and toured internationally. With their third studio album, The Fundamental Elements of Southtown, they achieved their initial mainstream success; the album was certified platinum by the RIAA in 2000. Their following studio album, Satellite, continued the band's success with the singles, "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation", pushing it to go triple platinum.

"I'm a man of faith and I'm a follower and a believer of Jesus Christ, and in talking to these kids, and even in talking to people just throughout my career in P.O.D., a lot of these bands and athletes and all these people that you meet, they don't have a problem with Jesus. They have a problem with people that are religious and claim to know Jesus, but aren't living it or acting it and aren't loving the way Jesus did.  We had that song for almost a year, and I didn't take it lightly. I'd been praying on it for over a year. I'd actually took counsel and let people hear it. And it was 50/50. Some people are like, you know what, go for it. Because my heart is like, I don't write music for Christians. I don't write music for people that I believe are saved and going to heaven.  Ultimately we're trying to reach people fed up with religion that are sick and tired of it, and people that are in the real world that really are lost and confused.

FACT: Noah "Wuv" Bernardo is a Half-Filipino/German/Italian Decent and First Cousin of Frontman Sonny Sandoval.

Deep within the confines of a small town in Oregon starts a 4-piece band.
Originated in 1998 hotboxed has had the same lineup since the beginning.
After many years of practicing in the same enclosed space with no windows
the band began to start writing songs about being trapped and suffocating.
Many of these feelings are still very much apart of the motivation for hotboxed
songs. After many shows in their home town hotboxed has moved up to the larger city
Portland Oregon, where the band currently resides. The first demo released simply
titled “hotboxed” is a raw example of how hotboxed feeds off emotion and translates
it into a swirling array of sound. With songs like defiance that is an anthem for anyone
that is sick of being told what to do. And whose blood, a song that vividly describes what
it can feel like to be pushed over the edge. hotboxed is currently planning a new album
and has been cutting a new path for the band to follow. This can be assured hotboxed will
continue to feed, and continue to bring you their results.

Determination

Determination was a christian Rock/Nu-Metal band from Mosbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany formed in 2004 and active until 2009.

They have released two EP’s: Determination EP (2005) and Violet EP (2009), a live recording (2006) and one full length album: Token (2007).

Biography:

Determination was founded in 2004 by it's 3 original members Jon, Jonny & M'rtl. They started writing songs in the style of Grunge and played their first gig in june 2005, at a youth event called "@mos4". In the summer, fall, winter of 2005 and spring of 2006 they played more than 10 gigs and became locally known. Due to local success Determination also started playing some shows all over southern Germany. The highlights included such events like Teenstreet 2006, where they played for a crowd of 4000 people, and the Himmelfahrtsfestival 2007. Determination recorded their first self-titled demo in the winter of 2004. After the local success of the first demo they released the "Days and Nights" Live CD in 2006, which included live recordings of the most famous songs, taking the listener to a direction of some kind of Nu-Metal. After writing and arranging new material for a complete album they took their music to their home studio in order to record their latest full-length Album "Token", which was released in July 2007. With the Violet EP they made a voyage into a metalcore direction. The EP was released on their "Determination says goodbye" show on 5th June 2009, splitting up on that date due to individual personal careers.

BENT's style is known as rapcore, and sound similar to Rage Against the Machine, Korn and Limp Bizkit. BENT have used this style as a foundation in which to build and create their own unique sound. They have achieved this by combining 'new metal' with the harsh beats of underground 'hip-hop'. The lyrics are influenced by a strong christian message and are aimed to bring hope to those who have none.

Nat has been playing drums for over 13 years. He has worked as a session musician, and was the youngest Premier sponsored drummer in Australia. Nat has also gained sponsorship with UFIP cymbals, Vater sticks and Aquarian heads.

Jono has been playing bass for over 9 years and is sponsored by Yamaha Basses and Marshall Amps. Jono has also worked as a session musician. Both Nat & Jono have had national radio airplay in other bands.

Matt has been playing guitar for over 6 years. Matt has played as a part of an ensemble made up of the South Coast's best musicians.

Nate has been rapping for 2 years and by opinion is ranked one of the best rappers in the Wollongong and Sydney regions alongside Juan Gonzales (Hoodsta) from 'Soulkeepers' and Wizdom and Mystery from 'Brethren'.

Aaron has been a DJ for one year and has become one of Wollongong's youngest DJ's and is Australia's youngest commercially recorded DJ. Having been taught by Wollongong's infamous D.J. Diggz, he has become a very promising artist.

BENT were overall winners in the Wollongong and NSW Gospel Eisteddfods and were runners-up overall at the nationals. They have appeared in 2 compilation albums, the most recent of which was distributed at MIDEM, the largest music industry event in the world. BENT have completed their debut album 'No Compromise', a 14 track CD which was 6 months in the making. BENT have recently been invited to perform at The Australian Live Music Awards beside bands such as 'Killing Heidi, '28 Days', 'Grinspoon' and ' The Living End'. BENT have also been invited to play at Youth Alive's 'Countdown 2000: The Final Countdown' at Parramatta Stadium which annually attracts a crowd of over 12000 people.

In conclusion, BENT take their music seriously and consider it a privilege to influence their generation.
